The story behind it all started when I one day got an briliant idea to Follow My Dreams !
I have listened to music all my life and always dreamed about doing an own DJ set. I have heard them all, the giants in the industry and electronic music. I wanted to have the same ”feeling” i guessed they had after aset or show or track. So I started to mix myself! It was a rush I can tell you! And today I do the Deeper Departures & Deeper Departure Specials where I record a set and ask another DJ to finish it !
I can´t say where the name came from more then I wanted to do my sets into journeys with unknown destinations. And I also try to make the sets as they came from heart and passion and not so predictable. So in other words I mix ´n blend tracks and sounds without following any ”mixing/DJ rules”. I don´t like ”expectations” therefore my sets are not to be expeting something from, just to be enjoyed !
That idea was brilliant as music unite us all and bring people together so on my weekly radioshow on MUTHAFM in South Africa I blend my own sets with the Specials and guestmixes.
